
Impact Update | January 2025, Just getting started
Jan 31, 2025January 2 we submitted our filing info (via the online portal) to the State of Alabama and the IRS to receive official verification as a 501c3. We had already approached (and received positive response) from 10+ people who agreed to serve on the board.
Though the first official group meeting isn't set to occur until the first of April, we met with each new team member. We met some 1:1, we gathered with others in groups of two.
We handed them the following sheet of paper, outlining the 2025 targets.

Here's a closer look at what we mean by each of the targets.
#1 = Three live workshops on the “Healthy Church” content
- Goal = 25-50 in attendance goal
- One in the HSV / Madison area, one in BHM, one in Montgomery / Prattville
- Outcome = identify 2 churches / leaders at each to walk with for 5-7 months, helping them implement the “Healthy Church” framework
#2 = Launch one more book in the Fall, along with a course (i.e., Joy / Happiness is the book, and will roll out like the Heaven Bound resource—
- Includes the book + workshop + social media
- Goal = impact 1,000 leaders with the resource in 2025 (it will roll-out in the Fall)
#3 = Keep the LifeLines podcast going, and do another “season”
- We are currently scheduled through March 31, meaning new episodes will appear at https://www.lifelift.online/podcasts/lifelines AND on the major podcasting platforms through the first quarter, even if we don’t touch it again
- We will talk through JOY at some point after the “Healthy Church” book is done and use the “talks” to help refine that message + pre-launch the book

#4 = Two significant equipping-based mission trips this year
- “Equipping trips” primarily resource and encourage church leaders— like the Fall 2024 Nepal trip.
- The focus of these is different than street evangelism and/or other types of trips in that these efforts seek to REPLICATE leaders to serve in their local area
#5 = One intentional transitional / intermediate pastoral location this year
- Workshops and other contacts (such as you) may lead to this
- We have the number at “1,” because we do not know how long they will last
- The most recent was Sardis Springs Baptist, through Summer 2024
# 6= Build a two-fold team that includes 100 prayer warriors and 100 regular donors / supporters
- This is 100 on each team, and may involve some overlap, but not necessarily…
#7 = Praying about a next / final initiative…
- Not certain what it is, but I know there is a #7 on it… and have a few ideas we are praying through.
Why we start here
It's easy to get started on a project and, within a few months, either 1) forget why you do what you do and/or 2) lose focus whenever a "new, shiny" object (or opportunity) presents itself.
It's not that we cannot change courses or adapt. However, we believe God works through the planning process as much as He does through the implementation phase.
The targets keep us on track.
And, throughout the year, we'll provide updates to our prayer team AND to our financial partners-- to show them the fruits of the labor to which they invest their time, talents, treasure, and trust.
The (snail mail) mailing list
We email our contact list about once a week. Sometimes more.
Once a quarter we plan to send a short newsletter via USPS. We'll include pictures, as well as progress updates on the seven targets.
The intent of the newsletter is not to ask for something, but to report on what's happening.
