Impact Update | April 2025, Excited about quick progress!

We held our first official board meeting last night and provided the team with an updated "target list," similar to what we provided in January.

The only difference was... well... we have some great progress! What began as prayerful ideas has transitioned into purpose-filled impact. 

Here's the team talking through the report. 

Updates on the first four as of April 2025 

Each of these updates includes the original goal, as well as current progress.

#1 = Three live workshops on the “Healthy Church” content

•  Goal = 25-50 in attendance goal
•  One in the HSV / Madison area, one in BHM, one in Montgomery / Prattville
•  Outcome = identify 2 churches / leaders at each to walk with for 5-7 months, helping them implement the “Healthy Church” framework

Update-- 

• Workshop scheduled in the Athens area on 04/28, as a joint-venture between Limestone Association and Morgan Association (Kevin Ward, Ken Blackwell). Info at www.LifeLift.online/0428
• Workshop scheduled for 09/09, with 50 pastors and 50 association leaders / directors of missions, at the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions (hosted by Rob Jackson and Ken Allen)—

Also…

•  Note: we will present “Healthy Church & Healthy Systems” framework in a 45-minute segment on 5/6 with a group of @ 50 associational leaders in Prattvile as well…

And…

•  Working on a date with the Madison Baptist Association (re: Rob Mullins, a board membter).

#2 = Launch one more book in the Fall, along with a course (i.e., Joy / Happiness is the book, and will roll out like the Heaven Bound resource—

•  Includes the book + workshop + social media
•  Goal = impact 1,000 leaders with the resource in 2025 (a push, since it will roll-out in the Fall)

Update:

•  Healthy Church has been expanded into TWO BOOKS— Healthy Church and Healthy Systems…
•  The audiobooks are recorded and available already.
•  Edwin is currently working on JOY— to be released on the planned timeline.

#3 = Keep the LifeLines podcast going, and do another “season”

• We are currently scheduled through March 31, meaning new episodes will appear at https://www.lifelift.online/podcasts/lifelines AND on the major podcasting platforms through the first quarter, even if we don’t touch it again
• We will talk through JOY at some point after the “Healthy Church” book is done and use the “talks” to help refine that message + pre-launch the book

 Update—

• We are scheduled through the end of March
• We will then release a season related to “Miracle of Marriage” late Spring / Summer
• Then do a “Joy” series, as we prep the next book content

#4 = Two significant equipping-based mission trips this year

• “Equipping trips” primarily resource and encourage church leaedrs— like the Fall 2024 Nepal trip.
• The focus of these is different than street evangelism and/or other types of trips in that these efforts seek to REPLICATE leaders to serve in their local area

Update—

• Mount Zion Baptist is going to India this Fall— and then back through Nepal to check on the team that was trained last year. They are planning to teach the Healthy Church resources.
• As a result, we are placing the content in a smartphone app, to be released this summer— so everyone has access top the cones— even in their own language
• Rob Jackson (Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions) has talked about the possibility of Romania this Fall, as well, with the same content going to them)

The next three on the list

#5 = One intentional transitional / intermediate pastoral location this year

• Workshops and other contacts (such as you) may lead to this
• We have the number at “1,” because we do not know how long they will last
• The most recent was Sardis Springs Baptist, through Summer 2024

Update—

•  Edwin begins shepherding a church in the Huntsville area the first week of May

#6 = Build a two-fold team that includes 100 prayer warriors and 100 regular donors / supporters

•  This is 100 on each team, and may involve some overlap, but not necessarily…

Update—

• Andrew just purchased online software (via “One Cause”) on behalf of the ministry and plans to embark on this mission in May. The software is now live on the website and can receive donations.
• He will update you as soon as the page is more refined, enabling people to choose specific projects they wish to fund-- such as translating Healthy Church into a foreign language, funding specific mission trips, etc.

#7 = Praying about a next / final initiative…

•  I’m not certain what it is, but I know there is a #7 on it… 

Update—

• Working on ideas now about certifying leaders in the Healthy Church and Healthy Systems content.
• A leader from the “Church of God” denomination reached out about training pastors in these resources…
